Man were we robbed of a televised wedding special! Why’d you have to ruin it with your whole family that one time, Porsha?!

I always forget this happens each year! Now I have something to listen to on the nearly two hour drive this morning

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! For those of you who drink, have a glass or five for me. God help us all who have horribly conservative family members at the table today

To whomever recommended eating this with graham crackers: thank you. But also curse you, now I can’t stop eating it, it’s so bomb 🙃

I may get roasted (no pun intended) for this but…I don’t like thanksgiving food. I don’t like it…a lot.

I’m not a monster, I like pie and I tend to fill up on crudités and hors d’oeuvres so my smaller plate won’t draw too much attention 😂. My mom normally cooks and she’s a really good one. I don’t refuse anything because 1) I value my life and 2) how to be a good dinner guest was drilled into my brain (Kameron Wescott STILL looking at you for gagging and screaming at chicken feet high society my 🍑).

Also it wasn’t until I went to Friendsgiving’s that I found out mac and cheese is a staple in different cultures/areas of the US. So I had to put up with some weird sweet potato marshmallow concoction that fooled me as a child because I thought it was some delicious marshmallow pie?

I am so deprived.

I too dislike a lot of thanksgiving foods, you’re not alone! I’m a vegetarian plus a lot of the stuff my family makes isn’t too appealing to me. The only food that I really end up eating is mashed potatoes and my absolute favorite, green bean casserole. And desserts are always delicious.

You can always try mixing things up! Who decides what is and isn’t holiday food anyways? The other part of my family that I grew up with would always have lasagna. Not even like an autumnal lasagna or anything like that, but a regular degular Italian lasagna, and it’s always a hit.

There’s a Ghanaian restaurant not far from me and they also serve other foods from the diaspora. If anyone wants me to host thanksgiving -that’s the restaurant I’m calling. I studied abroad in Ghana many years ago and the food was so good - plus I want to see my family sweat from how spicy is.

This is horrifying and tragic, but also incredibly angering. How we have to live with at least one shooting per week in this country makes my blood boil

Brianna and the fam have the legit access and means to eat fresh fruit, veggies, and grains and yet they choose to have…singular beef.
