Megan Derr is having a sale on Smashwords! Until October 16, all her books are $1 - except for the books that were $1, which are now free. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her Tales of the High Court series, for royals, soldiers, captains, and other members of the royal court falling in love. (It’s not listed as a series under the name Tales of the High Court, so individually, the books are The High King’s Golden Tongue, The Pirate of Fathoms Deep, The Heart of the Lost Star, and The Mercenaries of the Stolen Moon. (This last one is the only one of the series that isn’t m/m, in which case it’s mmf. To the best of my knowledge, the book #5 will be released in December and will be m/m.)

But honestly, I have yet to read a Megan Derr book I haven’t enjoyed yet. Something about Derr’s writing is just immensely readable and enormously comforting to me.

Smashwords has a huge sale every year and I recommend looking through books to see if there's any that interest you. They range from 25%-100% off, using coupons, so Amazon doesn't price-match (which can be an issue for indie authors). Not all of them are fantasy, of course, but a good chunk are.
