Posts about Ministry of Broadcast
Ministry of Broadcast is now available on Nintendo Switch and we, the devs, are here to answer for what we have done. AMA!
It is a cinematic platformer putting you into the role of a character called ‘Orange’ or ’Shoeless’ (nobody cared to give him a proper name). He is a contestant on a regime-organized reality TV show where he competes for his chance to cross the Wall and see his family.
Ministry of Broadcast is an evil game, a dark game with lots of sinister humor, lots of ways to die, lots of pixelated blood. That would explain the M rating.
Nintendo was kind enough to feature our launch trailer! Watch it on YouTube!
All of us, responsible devs, are here answering through this account for the AMA (all secured at separate locations):
Petr Melicherik (developer, game design, writer)
Petr Skornok (developer, game design, project manager)
Sanja Cezek (artist, animator, game design, UI)
Dusan Cezek (artist, animator, game design, writer)
Jiri Huska (writer, social media)
We all reside in beautiful, sunny Czech Republic. Growing up in Eastern Europe, we experienced a lot of political upheaval (NATO bombings, coups, other fun things – Dusan is suspected to be a member of a revolutionary group!), which might explain why we made the game we made.
It was important to us to also make our game fun to play (but you'll be the judge of that), not just beat you over the head with politics. Some of our inspirations include the original Prince of Persia, Oddworld, Blackthorne, etc.
We’re here to answer your questions about who we are, our crimes, the game industry in Eastern Europe, developing games in 2020, our favorite foods, anything and everything. Hold us accountable!
