Posts about Czechoslovakia
UK and France did nothing to protect Czechoslovakia in 1938, nor Poland in 1939...but why? Didn't they have a bigger army than German Army?
The infamous "Munich Agreement" is signed in 1938, where Britain and France, approve of Hitler's annexation of Sudetenland province in Czechoslovakia, ostensibly to prevent war, which however proved to be one of the worst acts of appeasement ever.
The Munich Agreement set into series a chain of events, where Czechoslovakia, was literally broken up, with some areas going to Hungary, some to Poland, the first Slovak republic was proclaimed, while Bohemia and Moravia went under German control.
Munich Agreement was basically feeding the crocodile, hoping it would not devour you. Czechoslovakia was thrown to the dogs, while Hitler took it as the best opportunity to run riot in Europe, and the rest as they say is history.
