Hello everybody, I hope you're all doing great!

So, Curses 'N Chaos!

It's a 2D wave based arena brawler. The premise is that you have been cursed by an evil wizard king, and every monster in the kingdom has it out for you, including the Grim Reaper!

You are tasked with killing enemies in order to get items, and use a combination crafting system to make a cure for this curse.

Each level has 10 waves to it, including a Boss Battle wave at the end. If you do not complete a wave in the time limit, the Grim Reaper appears and takes one life instantly.

KEY INFO:

  • 21 trophies, all of which are bronze, I believe.

  • Average completion is 7hrs. (I'm not sure this is accurate though!)

  • 2 local players, or 2 network players. Max is 2, either way.

A few of the features are:

  • Couch CO-OP, I mentioned this above, but it has local, and online coop, which is cool. Also, matchmaking, not just friends lists.

  • Upgradeable weapons, once you pick up a weapon in game, you can then buy that, and combine it with other select weapons to create better versions.

  • Available on vita!

The game is pretty simple, in that you just have to survive waves of enemies, coming from all sides of the screen. But you'll quickly get overwhelmed, even on the easier starter stages.

The grimoire map is quite handy in showing you what to combine to progress (two itens diagonal from eachother, or two of the same item sometimes), and it seems that you have to acquire the items before you can see them on this map.

One of the things I discovered whilst playing was that you can go into a stage, get items, die without using them, and then you can unequip them from the "equip" section, to get free items. Bit of a cheat, but hey, I'm terrible at the game!

Another thing is that jumping and attacking whilst still in the air, deals more damage. Good for frogs!

But yeah, I quite like it. It's certainly not an easy game, but I did have an urge to keep playing. I guess that's the completionist hoarder in me more than anything!

What does everyone else think of it? :)

Brief co-op gameplay to show what the basic concept of the game is:
