I'm not sure if you've ever had Dunkin Donuts coffee before, but it's basically tinted water.

Where have you been charged for ice?

why is everybody getting a lightbulb for free?

Yeah, I've honestly never understood this. And I feel like a lot of restaurant managers don't either: the ice is easily the most expensive thing in the glass. At least with your basic iced coffee or soda. Those things are pennies to fill the cup. The ice has been using water and electricity for a while.

I live in Canada. I've never been in any restaurant that didn't offer free water and ice. Some do sell bottled water, but I think we have a law that says you can't refuse to give someone water in a restaurant.

Trying to get ice (or even non-fizzy water) in Germany during the heatwave was utter hell on earth.

I was 13 and SO FUCKING THIRSTY FOR REGULAR, NON-FIZZY, ICE WATER. 😭😭😭

If I have to pay for water then I'm walking out and eating somewhere else. I was at McDonald's once and they wouldn't give me free water..... When I know for a fact most McDonald's do give you free water. I was pissed. Just spent my last bit of money for their dumbass food and I couldn't even have a drink. Fucking morons should be glad I'm not crazy because if I was I might have started plotting all kinds of bad things against that particular place. 😉

Australia has it covered.

If you're registered in the food industry (restaurant, Cafe, fast food, whatever) you have to provide tapwater for free, by law.

And most of Australia's tap water is damn good.

Came here to post this. No matter what I order, I always ask for “light ice”
