I just cleaned black chunks of God knows what off of my kitchen sink where the water comes out as well as off of my fridge water dispsener. I feel sick to my stomach I have been drinking water out of them for literal months since we moved in.
This was something that hadn't even crossed my mind to check.
When we moved into our house, the keypad on our automatic garage door was completely broken so we’ve lived without for years. Now the whole system broke and is being replaced tomorrow. Is it worth paying a little extra for a keypad? Is the keypad a security concern?
I was hanging up a bike rack in the garage and got all my tools ready and just going through the motions I forgot the pilot hole. I am scare out of my mind and feel like a dumbass. What can I do?
We bought a home with a wood burning fireplace and just had it inspected and cleaned. The guy told us we should have it cleaned and inspected every 30-45 burns... Is this true? That's like 2-3 cleans and inspections a year?? I thought once a year was enough? Growing up, I think my parents only had the cleaning and inspection done once and year and used the fireplace almost everyday in the winter... But I also don't want any chimney fires.
Anyone know any systems I can install that will record without trying to charge me money to view the recordings?
We inherited a couple of ring cameras with our house but I refuse to pay the subscription fee on principle.
I need outdoor security cams but I'm specifically looking for 1) continuous 24/7 recording 2) Ability to live stream to my phone and 3) 2K quality. I don't really care about wireless, they have a cool solar panel charger available separately anyway. I'm interested in them more than Simplisafe, Arlo, Nest, Ring and Blink. Thoughts?
