We’re in America you can sue anyone for anything.

Will you win? A different story.

I’m sorry you got robbed at gunpoint. Contact Sedgwick and take a personal leave if you feel it’s necessary. I believe Walgreens offers free counseling for traumatic experience but I’m not sure on what the quality of that counseling is.

If this is a regular occurrence your SM/DM/APM should be working on getting you guys a security guard at least for a few months if not permanently.

This is my second time in a 2 month period. They change the store hours for a while then they return to regular store hours. They do send you to counseling but it’s just a few sessions and all they do is basically tell you to get over it. It’s not helpful at all.

The police should also give you a pamphlet regarding victim therapy. I don't think it would cost you anything, especially if the criminals were caught. They'll be responsible for covering those costs

They don’t have any consideration for us. At least a full week off payed while we process the trauma. All they do is give us 2 days payed 😒 and expect us to be back to regular scheduling.

Yeah if anything Walgreens will just hold OP in legal fees until they’ve entirely destroyed their life and can no longer contest the law suit. The old Facebook method. It’s what they did to Meta to steal the name.

Unless they do something like hire a guard. I’d look for a job elsewhere. It’s not like Walgreens is that competitive.

They're not scared of a security guard

While you're not wrong, but the violence needs to end. It's just pushing it onto the next victim. I've worked in retail for 10 years now, and the stores, not just walgreens, have all been robbed at gunpoint at least once.

We're seeing just the beginning of what would happen if people decided to get better jobs. If these companies don't step up, we're going to see worse supply chain issues and labor shortages. And the US needs to step up to tackle the problems that drive people to violence.

Had the same shit happen to me. Shrugged it off and didn’t take any time off thinking I’d just power through it. Wasn’t until years later that I realized how much it had affected me and started getting help. Don’t feel bad about seeking help in addition to what work will provide you with.

I hate that this happens to any of us.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you are well. I hope they’re filing a police report at the very least. The cops should be on him. Was it the same person, if so he must be out of his mind.
