This question goes to people living in Japan especially; how realistic is the high school life depicted in Manga & Anime?
For instance, can you dye your hair in high schools or can a male person really wear a skirt as a male person like Najimi from "Komi Can't Communicate"? Are the clubs taken as seriously or are the spring festivals really these huge events where the whole student body participates?

On December 19, 1957, in Sapporo--the capital of Japan’s Hokkaido Prefecture--Shuji Sato was born. When he was in elementary school, he was inspired by his older cousin who would draw manga in their notebook. He spent his early childhood years in Tokyo and the Chiba Prefecture before returning to Hokkaido in Junior High. He attended Hokkaido Kutchan High School, and, after graduating in 1975, he moved back to Tokyo to try to find work. Two years later, in 1977, “Space Battleship Yamato” was released in theaters, and he started to visit a manga gallery in Ekoda–a small, primarily residential, area in Tokyo. This gallery had become a popular location for fans of anime and manga. One day, while visiting, he saw a famous doujinshi entitled, “Parody Space Battleship Yamato.”
This is a general discussion thread for whatever you've been watching this last week (or recently, we really aren't picky) that's not currently airing. For specifically discussing currently airing shows, go to This Week in Anime.
Make sure to talk more about your own thoughts on the show than just describing the plot, and use spoiler tags where appropriate. If you disagree with what someone is saying, make a comment saying why instead of just downvoting.
This is a week-long discussion, so feel free to post or reply any time.
