Feel bad for C&A. Has definitely soured my opinion of Skye-Blue which is a big shame, thought she was better than this.

Same. She did help a team that weren't part of the alliance, such as Sefa & Jessica. Has she been hiding that side of her for that long into the race?

This is so overblown.

Teams worked together JUST LIKE C&A WORKED WITH HOLLY AND DOLOR

They did not give out the answer like s32 alliance

Amanda helped A WOMAN WITH A MISSING HAND AND YOU'RE BITCHING WTF

The cowboys would have wasted the sabotage on guys who finished last tgwo legs in last place BUT IT'S PERSONAL GUYSSSS

seriously cry moar

Long time lurker first time poster.. take from this what you will but the the four teams in the original’s alliance were calling hotel rooms in between the two darwin legs trying to get all other teams to uturn Chris/Aleisha and Holly and Dolor ... I think this was 100% personal and production were involved and the teams were in trouble for breaking race rules of contacting off camera. * not a racer - just know some things..

You're a legend sir, thank you. I feast upon rumours such as these

Well the siblings were my favourite team but I'm now rooting for Chris and Aleisha.

Another Tweet from Chris this morning in Australia, seemingly confirming the rumors of behind the scenes bullying:

I think it is more of the case that the viewers whining about Aleisha's frustration in the past legs without knowing the few stories. Heck, you'll be downvoted here if you try to understand Aleisha's situation and constant pettiness from Skye's and Amanda's Instagram stories against Aleisha.

So was the Super Sikhs helping out the Aboriginals all a show? or...

The scrawny one comes across so fake to me. Tbh, did you see how Dwes was so receptive to them? He was not impressed when they came up to him. They basically forced him up for a hug. Honestly, poor Dwes looked so uncomfortable. They were really pushy when Dwes told them multiple times he wanted to be left alone.

I heard there was a lot of bullying from ‘members in the “originals” alliance. I heard some of the teams in there were bullying Dwes and some of the other teams and making fun of their ethnic backgrounds. Even a physical fight?? Anyone see the Instagram fight between Ashley and Amanda and Dwes and Jess? I think a lot more happened behind the scenes.

Did anyone hear Holly and Chris say the girls had the sikhs and cowboys rapped around their fingers? Would love to know the whole truth.

It seems to me from above the villain edits are getting shown on the wrong cast members....

Amanda’s boyfriend said something about a physical fight taking place. The comment was deleted making me think it was against Dwes?

Woah, holy moly! An actual physical fight?! Wow, this season caused A LOT of drama!

It's always seemed like a high school clique to me.

We got hints of Cowboys, Sikhs and Gold Coast Girls working together very early on (within the first 3-4 episodes; I think it was the beer balancing one). All three teams said they liked each other and had been helping each other out. We were told it was an alliance just without the word being used, basically, so Chris isn't lying when he says it's always existed.

I've been watching out for it very closely since the start, and with each leg you can sort of put the pieces together.

I've found Skye and Amanda to be quite petty on social media with their digs towards Aleisha, which just further cements the idea of them being the equivalent of the high school cool kids.

Personally, I don't understand the love for A&A. Outside of them being a dominant f/f team which is rare on TAR - and I respect them for that - they come across very snobbish and arrogant and hard to root for.

Other than A&A's weird villain edit a couple of weeks back and the latest episode showing Skye's true colours, this alliance have all had very fluffy edits so I won't be surprised if we're on course for them to dominant the rest of the race like Mine Five did.

Personally, I'm hoping for a miracle and C&A pull off the impossible but the edit isn't in their favour. I'm just waiting for A&A to U-Turn them which will probably end their race.

Perhaps Holly & Dolor can come out of nowhere like Tim & Rod did and snatch the win off this pathetic alliance.

Ashleigh & Amanda are one of my all-time favorite TAR archetypes - the hot and unexpectedly great F/F team. Whether it be Dustin & Kandice, Jaime & Cara, Michelle & Jo, or Natalie & Nadiya. These types of teams always deliver. Especially when they make a deep and successful run. Which is rare in and of itself.

Why is it such a great archetype? These kinds of teams stir the pot, unknowingly or knowingly. They rub other teams the wrong way. They are cutthroat to the point of alienating themselves from others. They are great confessionalists - never mincing words and always saying what they are thinking. They will not hesitate to U-Turn or Yield another team. They have no social awareness. They create tension. In essence, they're great television and necessary villains, maybe better labeled as antiheroes. Ashleigh & Amanda are no exception. They are delivering just as their predecessors did. The fight over the pen at the signup board with Chris & Aleisha in EP9? Yes please. Their inspiring subtle annoyance and rage in Chris & Aleisha because of their overwhelming competence at just about any task, as well as half-assed attempt at the skatepark task in EP9? Yes please. Them outrunning an M/M team to Pit Stop? Yes please. Their commentary on Dolor's fear of sealions during the Intersection in EP12? Yes please. All of it is great. I will concede that the stuff with the alliance is annoying. I'm getting TAR32 flashbacks as we speak. But, the season isn't over yet, we'll see how it all plays out in the coming EPs.

And, evidently, many hold the same outlook as me, if Ashleigh & Amanda's popularity is any indication. A lot of viewers like the pot-stirrer, even more so when that pot-stirrer is young and attractive. As I said before, teams like Ashleigh & Amanda are needed to create a compelling television product, namely one with stakes and tension.

So, yeah, that's why I and others love them. We recognize what it is that they bring to the show -- villainy, deviousness, and snark. Something that is absolutely necessary to create a halfway decent TAR season. Just look at the bland messes that TARAUS3, TARCAN6, and TARCAN3 were. No villains, no deviousness, no personality.

Ashleigh and Amanda are just like Dustin and Kandice
