I want to buy a cat but I'm living in a small studio apartment. My only worry is that it's cruel to make a cat live in such a small place. Afaik you can't really take it outside like a dog, so they'd be spending most of their lives within that studio apartment/until I move.
So I have a fluffy orange tabby named beartato. Yes I understand orange cats aren’t like normal cats, hear me out though. I caught him staring at himself in the mirror like he was questioning his existence. He always knows when I want to record him doing something he stops what he does immediately and goes into cat mode. I caught him watching the tv and again he stops when I want to record him , last week I got up to use the restroom and I still had 40 mins left to sleep so I went back to lay down. Well I had a tall can of truly on my desk that I didn’t finish, my desk is next to my bed. He knocked it over and it spilled in my hair, I looked up and who do i see? Beartato. Standing over me looking me in the eye as if to say wake up bitch, I’m hungry. He also opens my shower and watches me shower he’s like Santa clause just a total perv always watching you. Plus he responds to whatever you say he will respond to his name and he always looks so concerned, he’s such a handsome boy wtf is he even worried about? I’m telling you he used to be people. This cat isn’t normal, I’m not talking about in the way cats aren’t normal. I’ve had many cats but this one is different… this cat used to be people and I just keep seeing clues everyday.
Today I look my dog on our usual morning walk, we know all the dogs in the neighborhood who are always out and they're all super friendly. Anyway we always see this one husky who is usually fenced in and always seems so friendly. Well today we were walking and I noticed he was loose and I couldn't remember whose house he belonged to. I was on the other side of the street, also it's a busy street. So I wanted to go knock on a few doors to see who he belonged to. He was wagging his tail and all nice, so I crossed the street to go knock on doors and he walked up to us "I go oh buddy you're lost" didn't try to pet him just kept walking to go up the houses. That's when he started to attack my dog, I tried and tried to get him off, it was awful after 4min finally the owners heard me screaming and came out and grabbed the dog. I just keep thinking this is all my fault that I took my dog near another dog. The vet tells me I need to give them the bill. We also found out this dog has attacked another dog a few months ago. I really feel like they should cover this vet bill since it was on the road/side walk and had no leash. Everyone keeps telling me they should. But am I to blame for getting too close to a loose dog? Animal control said that if a dog is not fenced in it needs to be leashed.
Has anyone done this?
I’ve got a small poodle that I’ll be bringing from Korea to UK. Since UK doesn’t allow dogs to be flown in via cabin, I’m going to fly to France and then drive to London.
But it seems like France only takes rabies titer test within 3 months of the results being issued, but UK seems to require that I wait 3 months after the day that the blood was taken to enter (pls correct me if I’m wrong).
We have a certificate issued in 2020 for previous travels (for Ethiopia), and we’ll be doing another test soon for this trip. Does UK have a maximum limit on how long has passed since the titer test results have been issued, given that rabies vaccination has been kept up to date? As in, could I use the 2020 results to enter UK and then the new test results to enter France?
If anyone has any experience going to UK with their dogs through France or have any general advice for rabies titer test requirements, would be v appreciated !!!
I grew up with many (22 dogs, 15 cats, birds, turtles, hamsters, etc.) pets going in and out of the house. One parent brought them in the other would get rid of them a few months/years later when nobody was home. I have no idea where they went or if they’re alive and I never got to say goodbye. I miss them so insanely much and am looking to get a tattoo for them but since I can’t get that many names tattooed on me I’m looking for a more in general idea if anybody has any?
We recently got a new cat almost two weeks ago now. She is very shy and would usually hide in my closet or under my bed. However, we have not seen her for the past three days now. We have looked everywhere in the apartment and cannot find her. We haven’t seen her come out to eat or drink anything and I am panicking bc Idk where else to look. We have a very small apartment so there’s not many places she could be hiding and idk what to do.
UPDATE: WE FOUND HER!!:)
Thank you all so much for the ideas and reassurance. We ended up finding a panel nailed to the wall in one of our closets that we didn’t know about, and it wasn’t nailed all the way down, so she was able to open it, and she was hiding inside of our walls!
