I won't believe it until I hear there's "buzz".
Uh uh, I’ve already let myself go down that road once in the last month. I’m not getting hurt again.
Yeah I can’t take anymore disappointment. It’s ironic that hope now scares Superman fans.
Such bullshit out of Umberto’s mouth. “I’m not sure but I’m pretty sure they’ll maybe ask him back”
I always think about the time that someone wrote an article saying “WB could drive a truck with $50M to Bale’s house to have him play Batman in the DC Universe and it would be worth every penny!”
And Gonzalez immediately went “BALE OFFERED $50M TO REPRISE ROLE!!”
Yup, still waiting for Max to layoff 70% of their staff and heavily reduce scripted content.
I thought the "I'm not sure" part applied to "This is probably going to turn into a story". It's still contradictory but not nearly as bad as "I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure".
i mean, when somebody is getting questions and he has to answer them with no preparation and quite spontanously give an answer, i don't think that he can be well articulated at that moment. look at all the junkets that stars go through - they always slip a dumm comment here and there because it is not possible to answer everything the way you want all the time.
isnt this the same guy who doubled down that Armie Hammer had signed on as batman? lmao
After all this drama and uncertainty with DC I wouldn't blame him if true. He's super well known and can choose his own roles. The Witcher is his baby and probably a big priority of his.
And he still has the Highlander reboot stuff
But wasn't the problem Cavill asking for more pay and creative control? He didn't wanna come back because of those things.
He has been on record saying that anything he is in going forward can't deviate TOO FAR from its source material, so I won't be surprised that he wants input (like RDJ has on Ironman). Pay? I doubt that he is not that type of person (yes i followed him since his Tudor days, very middle class type dude).
I’ve heard that as well. I don’t think he had enough success as Superman to be making those demands.
Of course they want him back. He's popular, likeable, talented and would put asses in seats at a cinema. When Man of Steel hit 10 years ago he was relatively unknown. Its a different story now.
I disagree. MOS only made 42 million in profits for the studio. Compare that too WW which made 260 million in profits. Receipts show wonder woman puts far more butts in seats. Cavill is not a draw like everyone here thinks he is.
Another day another Cavill coming back rumor
My biggest question is where do you go from here with Cavill's superman...they didnt really build him up like previous iterations and his first movie he was battling one of the strongest bad guys there is for him...then he fights batman and then an even more powerful baddie followed by steppenwolf. The logical next bad guy would be Darkseid, and they aren't doing that and he cant go back to fighting earthlings like lex luthor...maybe introduce super girl but they pretty much already did that in the tv show although backwards...
and he cant go back to fighting earthlings like lex luthor
He absolutely could. Plenty of the great Superman stories have little to do with the fact his enemy is equal in strength.
If anything is more interesting to have Superman vs a problem he can't just punch away.
he cant go back to fighting earthlings like lex luthor
Luthor was building an injustice league...I don't know what the fuck Hamada was doing, but this shit writes itself.
if I had a nickel-
