Fired after 6 weeks at a large CRE firm! Should I leave it out of my resume? Or keep it since it’s a respected company?

I was fired today from a large CRE firm. This is my first real job in CRE. Should I put it on my resume? Can I say it was a contract position? Or should i leave it out completely and remove from my LinkedIn?

Only list jobs you held for six months or more.

Do 6 month gigs look bad when you’re in mid 20’s? At what age should I stay put?

Right. I’ve never been fired from a job, curious as to the circumstances.

Fired after 6 weeks isn't experience. It's evidence

Might as well tell us what you did, OP. It’s a small world and your story will become part of CRE lore.

I’d probably leave it off. Why’d you get fired?

I work for one of the big boys. Interested to hear how you got fired after 6 weeks. Are you planning to stay in CRE or switch industries? If you are trying to stay in CRE, every shop in town will know you got fired if you are actually at a big shop. It’s a small world. If you are leaving the industry, leave it off.

It is much better to leave it off. The companies that you are going to interview with will ask about it and may call them for reference check.

Fired or laid off?

Leave it off. Also, what did you do?

How did you manage that? Training should have taken up most of your time.
