Reuploaded from a few minutes ago, please forgive my sloppiness.

This is a fictionalized North Pacific island nation, so more pine trees than palm trees. Seen here is the capital city of St. Marie, the sprawling "North Shore" suburbs, and some logging/mining towns further in the distance.

I like building like this too! Coincidentally, I also love the Pacific Northwest! I recently visited Lopez Island, Washington, and the section in the upper left side of the picture looks similar to it! Lots of farms and lots of space between homes, and like one or two populated neighborhoods/towns!

EDIT: turned "lists" into "lots"

I always used the 81 tiles, that allowed me to build suburbs and resource based towns.

One of the things I really want in CS2 is to be able to see separate power and water systems. It was a huge pain in the butt to monitor when it didn't make sense to connect small towns on the edge of the map to the city for services.

Thank you so much for sharing in such a high resolution; I just scrolled around for like ten minutes looking at all the detail!

What's the name of this map and are there any other maps that are good to do this on? My complaint with most of the vanilla or workshop maps just seem to be large swaths of open land to build one giant city on instead of having a lot of terrain to mold towns into.

Cool stuff, I might try making a small island country one day. I also enjoy making an entire metro area with 81 tiles - central city, and surrounding suburbs/satellite cities, all fading into farmland/wilderness by the edge of the map.

Dude that screenshot is stunning….do you use Ultimate Eyecandy and whatnot? Can I ask what settings you use? I’m working on a similar map and want it to look exactly like that

Could be South Pacific as well. Kind of reminds me of Otago in NZ

I love doing that but I’m on Xbox and I’m limited to the 9 tiles :(

I was hoping they’d at least give current-gen consoles the option. I feel for you guys :(

I literally can't even imagine using only 9 tiles

i always try to spread everything out but then it ends up all connected into a big asscity with suburbs. fuck the 9 tile limit

Me too, my cities end up looking like Tijuana near the Mexican-US border. A bunch on development on one side, and the other side just nothing.

How do we not get more tiles or pick somewhere else on the map? I don't understand for the console version how they haven't added those. The mods on console are a joke.
